Heather Hundley has spent the last thirteen years educating high school students in mathematics. She obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics from Morehead State University (2009) and a Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Morehead State University (2017).
Heather began her teaching career at Raceland-Worthington High School (2009) teaching 7th and 8th grade mathematics. The following year she spent time working with students in preparation for the ACT at Paul G Blazer High School. Beginning in 2011, she became a full time classroom instructor at Paul G Blazer High School. Over the course of her tenure she has taught Algebra I, Geometry, Accelerated Geometry, Algebra II, Probability and Statistics and AP Statistics. From 2009-2013 Heather concurrently tutored math students at Knowledge Quest in downtown Ashland. In 2020, Heather became the owner of Knowledge Quest and continues to tutor students from the tri-state area.
The strong passion for mathematics Heather holds has carried over in the Paul G Blazer High School’s chapter of the National Mathematics Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, in which she sponsors (2014-present). Through this club, she has supported students competing at the National level in mathematics contests, provided numerous service opportunities including peer tutoring in mathematics, and the opportunity to promote math appreciation to the community through the Pi Day 5K and celebration. She encouraged the members of the club to fund the annual AJM scholarship.
